Best French Skin Care Products

French skin care products have a reputation for being among the best in the world. French cosmetic brands are known and appreciated all over the world and I am almost sure that everyone has bought at least one French skin product (even without knowing it). I wanted to share with you my favourite French skincare products. I have used most of them for years and I love them.

You should also know that I have not put on makeup for at least 10 years (I am 25 years old). If you want to have beautiful skin, of course, you must limit the makeup that suffocates your skin. In general, French girls wear little makeup. Less is better, and it is why the style of Parisian beauty is envied and copied around the world. Natural French beauty goes through its iconic products which I will list for you below.

Vichy Normaderm

This Vichy brand skin care product is a must. Vichy is the number 1 anti-aging brand in European pharmacies. I’m addicted to this facial, and when I don’t use it, my skin feels it. Its texture is light and the smell is pleasant. I use it in the morning after cleansing my skin with Bioderma Sebium H2O. Anti-blemish and 24h hydrating, this French skin care product was recommended to me by my dermatologist 8 years ago and since then I use it every day. Perfect for all skin types and all ages. Awesome bonus, it also controls acne!

Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel

To complete the Vichy day care product, this gel to use in the shower is perfect. It leaves your skin clean and fresh without drying it. I use it 3 to 4 times a week. In the shower, massage the product and rinse after a few minutes. Ideal for skin with imperfections or just to use as a cleansing gel.

Bioderma Sebium H2O Cleansing Solution

This Bioderma product is probably my favourite French skin care product I’ve ever used. Bioderma is a French pharmaceutical company that specializes in dermatological conditions. Their products are used all over the world, and this H2O sebium is my favourite. I use it morning and evening, before putting on my Vichy day cream. I love the freshness it provides on my face, I feel that my skin breathes and is deeply cleansed. Bonus, the bottle lasts a really long time!

Laino Green Clay Paste

My preferred clay face mask is from the French brand Laino. This brand focuses on natural care for hydration of the body. I discovered this green clay paste in a pharmacy in Paris and I loved it immediately. The clay is fresh and easy to apply. The result is impressive, the skin is purified and the imperfections visibly reduced. I do not use it more than twice a week, because it is not recommended to apply clay masks too often.

Laino Green Clay Paste,

Garnier Charcoal Face Mask

I don’t know about you, but I love charcoal products. That’s probably why this Garnier mask is one of my favorites. I use it when I don’t have much time and I am too lazy to apply the green clay paste from Laino. With this Garnier face mask, it’s quick to apply, you just have to place the tissue on your skin, wait 15 minutes and voila! You can gently remove it. The skin is hydrated and purified with this French facial product for all skin types. I like Garnier products because their brand is based on natural and ingredients that are soft on your skin.

Caudalie Lip Conditioner

The only lip balm I use is from the French cosmetic brand Caudalie. This French skin care product will quickly become your favourite! The smell reminds me of a vanilla-scented candle and I love to apply the smooth texture on my lips. I often use it since it’s in my handbag, but especially in winter. Enriched with grapeseed oil, the texture is very hydrating and will leave your lips effectively protected. The French brand Caudalie is known for its natural, transparent and committed values for the environment, which makes it an ideal brand to buy effective products for us and the planet.

Caudalie Hand And Nail Cream

Another product from the Caudalie skincare brand! This time, a delicious cream for hands and nails. Again, the scent is gorgeous and it leaves hands soft immediately. Enriched with antioxidant grape polyphenols, shea and avocado butters, it’s the perfect combo for hydrated and protected hands. I apply on hands and nails mainly in winter, because my hands are not dry in normal times.

Yves Rocher Repair Body Balm

Yves Rocher has been one of my favourite skin care brands since I was a child. My mother always bought products from them, whether for the face or the body. This French brand is the creator of plant cosmetics which means they highlight in their products the specificities and talents of each plant to make more efficient care results. One of my favourite Yves Rocher product is this nourishing body balm. Enriched with Organic Shea butter, it nourishes even the driest skin. Use after your shower, for protected, smooth and soft skin.

Yves Rocher Vanilla Shower Gel

I love it when I never get tired of a product, and this is one of them! Yves Rocher has several scents of shower gel, but the vanilla one is my all-time favourite. The bottle has changed a lot in appearance since I started using it (probably more than 10 years), but the smell and the creamy texture remain the same.
This is what I love about Yves Rocher, there is a feeling of familiarity and comfort linked to their brand, probably because their products have been used in French families for generations! I have been showering with this bourbon vanilla scent shower gel for years and I do not intend to change. My mother even sends it to me from France to Australia! If you visit France soon, make sure to shop at a Yves Rocher boutique. You will love their wellness products.

That’s all for the French skin care products I use every day! They all come from a world-famous French skincare brand and have been tested and approved. I don’t use others because they suit me perfectly and are lastingly effective.
